Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a tour cost?

Tours are $35 per person. There is no minimum number of people needed for a tour.

Generally the tours run rain or shine. I reserve the right to cancel the tour and give you a full refund in case of extreme weather such as heavy rain and slippery conditions.

What to wear?

Most important is sturdy, comfortable footwear for walking on hard surfaces for at least two hours.

If the weather is chilly, please be sure to bundle up. Wear a warm enough coat and bring whatever gloves, hats, scarves, and boots that you would normally wear in cold weather. We want you to remember the great sights that we are going to see, rather than how cold you were!

Where to meet?

The confirming email about the tour will include information about the meeting place. Meeting places are generally near subway stops.

What about restrooms?

The tour will not necessarily include a restroom stop. I am aware of restrooms along the routes where I give tours. You may stop at one of them if the need arises.

Where do we end?

We will end in a different place from where we begin. And we will end near a subway stop.

Is a gratuity expected?

Gratuities are not necessary, but are always appreciated. A guideline for them would be $5 – $10 per person in your party.

What about dogs?

Please no dogs on the tour. If you have a special need for a service dog, I appreciate if you please discuss this with me in advance.

We had a great time with Leigh. She was well prepared and told us passionate stories. We felt very fortunate with the guide. It was a fantastic addition to our NYC visit.
